Thank you for your interest in partnering with Loveland Habitat for Humanity on your journey to homeownership.  Please complete this pre-screening application truthfully, completely and accurately.  All information you include in this pre-screening will be maintained in accordance with our privacy policy.

Before you begin, please take a moment to review the following important information about our program and application process. 

Program Overview

There are important qualifications that you must meet to be considered for Habitat homeownership.  Applicants must meet the following guidelines: 

  • Residency:  Must live or work in Loveland for one year prior to your application, as well as all applicants must be a US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident 
  • Housing Need:  Cannot have owned a home in the past 3 years, as well as must have a demonstrated need for housing including being unable to qualify for a mortgage
  • Willingness to Partner:   Must agree to complete 200 "sweat equity" volunteer hours per adult applicant

  • Credit Policies:  Our credit policy does not allow for open collections, recent bankruptcies/foreclosures, present past due balances or two or more recent late payments

About this Pre-Screening

  • This application will collect information about your household, income, employment, and housing situation
  • Applications not submitted will not be reviewed or evaluated
  • We will review your submitted, completed application to determine whether you meet the basic eligibility requirements   
  • You will hear back about your eligibility within 30 days of submission 

Before You Start

To ensure a smooth process, we recommend having the following ready

  • Income documentation for all adult household members
  • Expense information such as your rent, your loans/credit cards, and your day to day expense information
  • Checking, savings, and 401K account information for all adult household members

Important Notes

  • Incomplete applications will not be considered
  • Submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance into the program
  • Applications will be reviewed as they are received until program capacity is met
  • There is additional documentation that will be required if you meet eligibility requirements
  • You are applying for the program, not a particular home or location
  • If another adult will be living with you, whether a spouse, partner, significant other, or co-habitating adult they must be included on the application.  Dependents are defined as your children or others family members that live with you full time and that you provide more than half of their financial support.   Spouses and partners are never a dependent, even if they don't have an income-they are co-applicants

 Application Fee

  • There is a $30.00 non-refundable application fee per adult applicant
